The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed a fresh date to rule on a ‘no-case submission’ filed by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the “outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Mr. Kanu is currently facing “terrorism charges” at the court.
During the last hearing in July, the court had set a date of 10 October to decide on the “no-case submission,” a legal argument that seeks to have the charges dismissed without the defense needing to present its case.

However, Aloy Ejimakor, a lawyer for Mr. Kanu, announced on Monday that the court had brought the ruling date forward to 26 September.
Mr. Ejimakor wrote on X, “The scheduled ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission has been abridged from 10th October 2025 to Friday, 26th September 2025.”
The lawyer uploaded a copy of the hearing notice, dated 22 September, to confirm the new date.
