Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG).
Anabraba, who previously served as the Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Akuku-Toru Constituency II, is taking over from Tammy Danagogo.

Danagogo had held the position since the second term of former Governor Nyesom Wike (now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT) and continued through the first two years of the Fubara administration until the declaration of emergency rule.
According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Honour Sirawoo, the new SSG will be sworn in on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.
