Tompolo Speaks On Alleged 21 Days He Gave FG To Release Nnamdi Kanu

High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, recognized as Tompolo and known as the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, has publicly refuted an online report claiming he issued the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum for the release of Nnamdi Kanu from detention.

A statement provided in Warri, which was signed by Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Media Consultant to the High Chief, confirmed the denial.

The consultant stated that “High Chief Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo did not author the said publication,” and that “It was clearly the hand work of Tompolo’s enemies.”

The full statement specified that the attention of “High Chief Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation has been drawn to a report, ‘Tompolo Gives FG 21 days To Release Nnamdi Kanu’, which is trending in some social media platforms.”

The chief’s team wished “to state unequivocally and unambiguously that, Tompolo did not author the said publication.”

The statement directly blamed the false report on the chief’s opponents, saying it was “Clearly the hand work of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.”

The statement also added a strong assurance: “These set of people has failed and will continue to fail because he will not relent in carrying out his duty to totally eradicate illegal oil activities in the region.”

Reiterating his loyalty, Tompolo’s team stated, “We wish to reassure the Federal Government, led by our dynamic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that Tompolo is with him and will continue to support the renewed agenda of his government.”

They further confirmed his political position, saying, “We wish to add that Tompolo remains firm and re-affirms his endorsement of Mr President for second term and continues to work for its realisation.”

Dr. Bebenimibo concluded by calling on “the Federal Government and the general public to ignore the said publication.”
