APC Chairman Reveals Opposition Governor They Must Remove ‘At All Cost’ In 2027

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, has made a forceful declaration that his party is committed to ensuring that the current New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, “does not return to office in the 2027 general election.”

In a short video clip circulating on Facebook, Abbas was seen addressing APC supporters at a gathering in the Gwale local government area, where he spoke “emphatically to the cheering crowd.”

He stated, “No matter the consequences, Abba will not return to the governor’s seat. Whether Kano stays in peace or falls into chaos, it doesn’t matter, Abba’s tenure must end in Kano.”

Abbas, who is known for his “fiery and bold statements,” also leveled heavy accusations against the NNPP-led administration, alleging “incompetence and corruption.”

He argued that Governor Yusuf’s team “lacked the capacity to govern the state effectively” and that since assuming office, “all we have seen is gross incompetence, negligence, and mad looting. Everyone is in a hurry to steal,” Abbas alleged.

The State APC chairman further described the ongoing Kano Emirate crisis as “a disgrace,” stating that the existence of “two rival emirs was a blemish on the state’s history.”

He claimed, “This government has destroyed our emirate system. A historic city like Kano is now witnessing two emirs — this is a disgrace.”
