In the video, as the jet flew low over Cotonou, shots appeared to be fired towards it by the Putschists.
A Putschist refers to a person who participates in or advocates for a putsch—a sudden, secretly plotted, and forceful attempt to overthrow a government.
The term is synonymous with a “coup plotter”.
