Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has escalated her dispute with Chris Okafor, the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, by issuing a formal legal demand for ₦1 billion.
The actress is giving the cleric a 21-day ultimatum to pay the sum or face a lawsuit over what her legal team describes as a “botched marriage claim” following the end of an alleged nine-year relationship.
The legal move comes just days after the clergyman moved forward with his wedding to his new wife, Pearl, despite Ogala’s public warnings.

Represented by lawyer Nzeakor Atulomah of Synergy Law Partners, the actress is seeking damages for emotional and reputational harm.
The formal letter to the pastor stated:“While marriage cannot be forced between our client and yourself, the law requires suitable redress for such a calculated and publicly executed breach. We hereby demand, therefore, that you pay our client the sum of NGN 1,000,000,000 (one billion naira). This amount represents aggravated and general damages for the breach itself, the irreparable harm to her reputation, her psychological and physical health, and the egregious manner in which the breach was executed in public.”
The demand letter provided specific banking details for the payment and warned of further escalation:“We require you to ensure that, within twenty-one (21) days of the date of receipt of this letter, this full reparation amount is deposited into our client bank account… We trust that you will act to obviate the need for further legal escalation in any event. Please be assured that we will file a claim in the appropriate court if you fail to meet the above demands.”

Ogala, who claims she has evidence that the pastor “promised to marry her,” previously vowed that the cleric would never marry anyone else.
She revealed that her only condition for allowing him to marry Pearl was for him to “buy her a house,” claiming that his lawyers were already reviewing her terms before the wedding took place.
While the actress has been accused of acting maliciously, she dismissed those claims, insisting she is not seeking to deliberately disrupt another’s happiness but rather seeking justice for a ruined life.
Despite the legal threats and the ₦1 billion demand, Pastor Chris Okafor’s wedding photos surfaced on Wednesday, drawing a mix of praise and criticism from the public.
