The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following reports that Nollywood actress and producer Allwell Ademola passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Ademola, 43, reportedly suffered a heart attack at her home before being rushed to the hospital.
As the news spread through the entertainment community, several colleagues took to social media to express their grief and shock.
Actress Faithia Williams shared her heartbreak on Instagram, writing:“Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell”
Similarly, popular actress Mide Martins posted a tribute on Facebook, describing the day as a dark one for the industry:“BLACK SATURDAY……This is not fair May God forgive your shortcomings Allwell”
Other colleagues shared shorter, somber reflections. Damola Olatunji posted a candlelight image with the caption “Life is a mirage,” while Bidemi Kosoko struggled to accept the news, pleading for a response from her friend.

Ademola, who was a granddaughter of the late Chief Justice of Nigeria, Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, was a respected figure in the industry, known for both her acting and production work. Tributes continue to pour in as fans and peers process the loss.
