Coach Eric Chelle has made two significant changes to the Super Eagles’ starting lineup for today’s high-stakes Group C encounter against Tunisia.
Seeking more defensive stability in the midfield, Chelle has introduced Frank Onyeka to form a “midfield trident” alongside Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi.
This move sees winger Samuel Chukwueze drop to the bench.
In defense, Bruno Onyemaechi earns his first start of the tournament at left-back, replacing Zaidu Sanusi.
The attack remains formidable, with Ademola Lookman given “positional freedom” to support the strike partnership of Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.
Nigeria’s Official Starting XI vs. Tunisia:
Stanley Nwabali, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Bruno Onyeamaechi; Wilfred Ndidi (C), Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi; Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, Victor Osimhen.
