Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has officially responded to the public apology issued by Pastor Chris Okafor, stating that while she has chosen to forgive the cleric, she strongly refutes his assertion that her claims were untruthful.
The reaction follows a Sunday service at the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministry, where Okafor knelt before his congregation to seek forgiveness.
Ogala shared a video of the moment on her Instagram, but added a firm disclaimer regarding the pastor’s characterization of the saga.

“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie, I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.
During the service, the cleric admitted to past errors but maintained that the viral allegations against him lacked merit.
“The lady called Doris Ogala. Listen, there have been ongoing issues, and mistakes have been made in the past. I want to apologise. What was said is not true. Everything that was said, take note, was never true. There were so many lies in most of the things that were said,” Okafor told his members.
Despite his denial of the specifics, he extended a general apology to the actress and others:“But have I offended people? Yes. I am sorry to everyone I have offended. To Doris Ogala, I also say sorry. I apologise to everyone I have offended,” he added.
The pastor expressed a desire for a “new beginning” and mentioned his readiness to make restitution.
This public act of contrition occurred nearly a week after Ogala’s release from police custody on Monday, December 22, 2025.
She had been detained for two days following her arrest on Saturday, an event that sparked a social media campaign for her freedom.
Upon her release, Ogala credited activist Omoyele Sowore and VeryDarkMan for their support, writing:“Thank you, Sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel king.”

The long-running dispute was ignited when a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman surfaced.
In response, Ogala claimed she had been in an intimate relationship with the pastor since 2017, alleging he had convinced her to leave her marriage with a promise of matrimony.
She eventually issued an ultimatum demanding a house as compensation for the alleged betrayal.
The tension reached a peak when Ogala shared a private image of the cleric in a bedroom setting, though she later deleted the post.
Despite her protests, photos of Okafor’s traditional and white wedding ceremonies have since circulated online.
