Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has voiced his profound grief following the passing of retired Brigadier General Kabir Muhammad Galadanchi.
The distinguished Kano native died on Saturday after a period of illness.
The Governor’s sentiments were shared through a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in which the late military officer was hailed as a “true patriot.”

Governor Yusuf emphasized that Galadanchi spent his life in service to the country, leaving a legacy of leadership and national dedication.
The official statement noted:“The late Brigadier General Galadanchi was a revered military officer who remained devoted to the protection of our nation’s sovereignty and integrity throughout his career.”
Extending his sympathies to the bereaved family, the Governor spoke on behalf of the government and the citizens of Kano State.
He offered prayers for the departed, asking that Allah grant the late officer eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi and provide his family with the fortitude to navigate this significant loss.
