There was a state of tension in Abuja on Monday when a group of frustrated employees pursued the motorcade of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during a demonstration concerning “unresolved welfare and salary issues.”
According to a video circulating online, the workerswho have been participating in a strike had assembled to advocate for their needs.

The situation became increasingly volatile as “Wike’s convoy passed through the area,” causing the demonstrators to grow “visibly agitated.”
During the encounter, the protesters could be heard “chanting ole, ole which is a Yoruba word meaning thief.
They are seen moving toward the vehicles as they chant in a direct attempt to call attention to their grievances.
