In Yoruba, “Oju a tun ra ri” is a standard farewell phrase meaning “our eyes shall see again” or simply “we’ll meet again.”
In this context, it’s said during a polite handshake at the event.
Considering their past as rivals in Oyo elections where Makinde defeated Adelabu in 2019 and 2023, it could be seen as alluding to future meetings possibly political.
