The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has authorized a minor cabinet reshuffle designed to bolster the administration’s efficiency and overall governance.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, it was revealed that the restructuring affects three prominent positions within the executive team.
Under the new arrangement, Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been moved from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to take charge as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Lands and Housing.

Simultaneously, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who formerly headed the Lands and Housing Ministry, has been appointed as the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
The former Chief of Staff, Gani Audu, has been nominated to lead the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, a role that remains subject to official confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
These administrative adjustments officially take effect today, January 30, 2026. Highlighting his expectations for the new team, the statement noted that the Governor is “confident the adjustments will enhance coordination, policy implementation, and governance in the State.”
