Missing 20-Year-Old Student Found Dead In Kogi Bush With Body Mutilated

The body of Suleiman Rahama Onono, a 20-year-old student previously reported missing, has been discovered in a bushy area within the Eika-Adagu community on the Okene–Lokoja highway.

The discovery was made on Monday following an intensive search by her relatives and local security personnel. Family members were left in shock after finding the body mutilated, noting that her breasts and genitals had been removed.

Onono was a student at the Federal College of Education, Okene.

She had been missing since Saturday, January 24, 2026, after she left home and lost all contact with her family, sparking a frantic search by friends and the college community.

Following the discovery, police officers evacuated the remains to the Okengwe General Hospital morgue for a scheduled autopsy.

The gruesome incident has triggered panic among residents of the Camp 2 area, who are now calling for immediate security interventions.

Community members have requested the installation of streetlights to prevent crimes committed in the dark, noting that the location has become a hotspot for violence.

A local source highlighted the deteriorating situation, stating, “This follows a pattern of recent violent incidents in the area, including the killings of two okada riders whose motorcycles were stolen.”
