The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially reconstituted the Central Coordination Committee for its 2026 National Convention.
In this update, former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has been appointed as the new Chairman, taking over from Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
The National Secretary of the APC, Surajudeen Basiru, confirmed the changes in a statement posted on the party’s official X page.
Following further deliberations with party leaders and stakeholders, Governor Uzodimma has been reassigned to the position of Treasurer within the updated committee framework.
As part of this reconstitution, the committee’s membership has been expanded from 73 to 90 members.
This increase includes the addition of several prominent party figures, such as Senator Barry Mpigi, to ensure broader representation as the party prepares for the March 27 and 28 convention.
The leadership team now includes former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim as Vice Chairman I and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Vice Chairman II.
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni retains his role as the committee’s Secretary.
These adjustments come just days after the initial committee was announced.
The APC noted that additional sub-committees will be formed and announced in the coming days as preparations intensify for the election of new National Working Committee members.
