Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price To N774 Per Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has implemented a strategic price adjustment, reducing its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) gantry price by ₦25 per litre.

The ex-depot rate has moved from ₦799 down to ₦774 per litre, effective immediately as of Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

In an official notification from its Group Commercial Operations Department, the refinery stated, “This is to notify you of a change in our PMS gantry price from ₦799 per litre to ₦774 per litre.”

The reduction follows a period of festive price support where the refinery sold at ₦699 per litre before realigning to ₦799 in late January. Industry analysts view this latest cut as a move to stabilize the market and respond to growing competition from alternative supply channels.

Alongside the price cut, the refinery announced the end of its volume-based incentive program.

The notice clarified, “Additionally, please note that the PMS lifting bonus ended at 12:00 a.m. on 10th February 2026. The corresponding credit for volumes loaded from 2nd to 10th February 2026, within the stipulated volume thresholds earlier communicated, will be posted to your account statement. Thank you for your continued partnership.”

This transition signals a shift toward a more consistent pricing regime as the 650,000 barrels-per-day facility consolidates its role as the primary supplier for Nigeria’s domestic market, helping to shield consumers from the extreme volatility often seen in import-dependent systems.
