Tinubu Appoints New NEMSA Boss, Names Board Members

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).

The announcement, released on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, by Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga in a statement titled “President Tinubu appoints CEO and board members of NEMSA; Magaji Da’u Aliyu as MD of SHESTCO,” also named nine board members for the agency.

These include Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical) and Ikechi Clara Nwosu as Chairman (South East).

Other board members listed in the statement are Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris (Member); Igba Elizabeth (Member-North Central); Sani Alhaji Shehu (Member–North East); Adeyemi Adetunji (Member–South West); Engr Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (Member–South South) and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (South East).”

NEMSA serves as the regulatory body tasked with testing and certifying electrical materials across the country.

Simultaneously, the President appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO) in Abuja. SHESTCO is a federal research hub focused on technological development and the operation of a nuclear research facility.

Furthermore, the President has nominated Amina Gamawa (Bauchi) and Abdullahi Muktar (Kaduna) to serve as Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

“The President has sent the two nominees to the Senate for confirmation,” the statement confirmed.
