Igbinedion Education Centre Reacts To Viral Video Of Bullying And Physical Assault Involving Students At The School
The management of Igbinedion Education Centre has responded to viral footage showing the violent physical assault of a student by two peers, announcing the immediate expulsion of the attackers.
Following the injuries sustained by the victim, the Edo State Police Command has expressed interest in the case.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem, stated: “I have seen the video, and the only thing I can say for now is that the boy and his parents should come forward and make a complaint so that an investigation can begin.”

In an official press release, the school management addressed the gravity of the recording, noting: “We are aware of a video currently circulating online showing a serious incident of bullying and physical assault involving students at the school.”
The institution condemned the actions of the perpetrators, emphasizing that “The behaviour shown in the video is deeply disturbing and stands in direct violation of the values and standards we uphold. The school maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, cultism, intimidation, harassment, and any form of violence.”
The school confirmed that decisive action was taken once the facts were established: “Following an immediate investigation, the students responsible have been EXPELLED from the school with immediate effect. Such conduct will never be tolerated within our school community.”
Reaffirming their commitment to a safe learning environment, the statement continued: “Our priority remains the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every student. We are providing support to those affected and are working closely with their families to ensure the matter is addressed with the seriousness it deserves.”
Finally, the management noted their cooperation with law enforcement, stating, “The incident has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and knowing that the students are minors, the school is cooperating fully.”
