Moment Tinubu Departed Abuja For Historic UK State Visit [VIDEO]

President Bola Tinubu, alongside First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 10:00 am this Tuesday for a historic state visit to the United Kingdom.

A high-level delegation, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, was present to see the first couple off as they embarked on this significant diplomatic journey.

This trip marks the first state visit by a Nigerian leader to the UK in nearly four decades.

Notably, President Tinubu will be the first Nigerian head of state to be hosted by the British monarch at Windsor Castle.

The primary goals of the visit are to reinforce bilateral ties and expand cooperation in critical areas such as trade, investment, immigration, and cultural exchange.

During their stay at Windsor Castle, the President and First Lady will be invited by King Charles and the Queen to view a curated exhibition of Nigerian artifacts from the Royal Collection.

The itinerary also features private talks between the King and the President, as well as engagements with various interfaith organizations.

To conclude the diplomatic honors, the Royal Family will host a formal state banquet for the Nigerian delegation.
