Tinubu Sends Message To Nigerians Lamenting Problem Of Electricity And Power

President Bola Tinubu has promised that the electricity situation in Nigeria will improve in the coming days, addressing the persistent power outages that have plagued the country recently.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja on Friday, March 27, 2026, the President acknowledged the frustrations of citizens but insisted that a major recovery is already in progress.

“I assure you, many of you lamenting the problem of electricity and power; we are paying attention to that,” the President stated.

He further added, “Electricity will become better, and we assure you there will be opportunities and progress in our industrialisation.”

A key part of the government’s strategy involves the newly established Grid Asset Management Company (GAMCO).

President Tinubu revealed that “Through the Grid Asset Management Company, we will inject approximately 1,500 megawatts into a new grid corridor.”
