The Kebbi State political community is mourning following the passing of Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
His death was confirmed on Monday evening by his aide, Murtala Diri, who noted that the Speaker passed away while undergoing medical treatment in Cairo, Egypt.
Representing the Zuru Constituency, Mohammed Usman Zuru presided over the 10th Assembly and was widely respected as a pivotal figure in the state’s legislative and governance framework.
His transition is being described as a profound loss for the Zuru Emirate and the entire state.
