Israeli Army Announces Killing Of Hezbollah HQ Commander

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday morning the killing of Suhail Hussein Husseini, a top commander of Hezbollah, at the militant group’s headquarters in Lebanon.

According to the IDF, the Israeli Air Force carried out a “precise, intelligence-based strike” in the Beirut area that resulted in Husseini’s death.

The headquarters where the strike took place manages Hezbollah’s logistics, budgeting, and unit operations.

Husseini was reportedly a key figure in facilitating the transfer of advanced weaponry from Iran to Hezbollah, overseeing both the transportation and distribution of these arms among the group’s units. He also served on Hezbollah’s senior military leadership council, the Jihad Council.

The IDF highlighted that the headquarters housed Hezbollah’s Research and Development Unit, responsible for producing precision-guided missiles and managing the storage and transport of weapons within Lebanon.

In his role, Husseini handled the financial and logistical aspects of Hezbollah’s most critical operations, including the group’s war strategies and special operations, such as planning attacks against Israel from Lebanon and Syria.
