We’ll Continue Demolition, Nobody Can Suppress Us – Wike Sends Strong Message To Protesters

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that his administration will continue the demolition of illegal shanties in the FCT, emphasizing that no protests will deter the efforts.

Wike made the remarks during a visit to the Ruga community along the Wuye axis of the nation’s capital.

He explained that, moving forward, his administration will engage in dialogue with those residing in the shanties, aiming to develop lasting solutions that will prevent the illegal establishment of such settlements.

Regarding the protest held on Friday, where demonstrators accused the FCTA of land grabbing, Wike described it as a case of misplaced priorities.
