A statement released late Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, clarified that the position of the president’s spokesperson will no longer be held by a single individual.
Instead, Dare and Bwala will now serve jointly as spokespersons in the Office of the President.

Sunday Dare, previously the Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, will now take on the role of Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications.
Meanwhile, Daniel Bwala, who was appointed last week as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication, has been reassigned to the role of Special Adviser, Policy Communication.
The presidency explained that this shake-up is intended to improve the communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
