A statement issued on Tuesday by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Tim Nyor, and shared with journalists in Makurdi, the state capital, explained that the nomination followed the expiration of the tenure of the previous members.
The party spokesperson added that in accordance with Sections 32(1)(g) and 32(4) of the PDP constitution, the nomination was communicated through an official letter from the party secretariat to Ortom, which was signed by the party’s Secretary, Dan Nyikwagh.

The PDP emphasized that Ortom’s experience and commitment to the party made him the ideal choice for the role.
