The impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has criticized his removal by the lawmakers.
Speaking about his dismissal for the first time on Saturday, Obasa emphasized the importance of the lawmakers adhering to “constitutional procedure” in the process of removing him from office.

The former speaker also rejected the corruption allegations made against him by the lawmakers during his impeachment, calling the claims of financial misappropriation “impossible.”
“I am not disturbed, I am not afraid,” Obasa said of the “Developments that happened at the assembly.”
Obasa addressed a large gathering of supporters at the Speaker’s Lodge, located at 47, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
