In his remarks during the handover, Ja’afaru expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, acknowledging the short duration of his tenure. He highlighted his successes, such as securing presidential approval for key reforms, including the independence of the board’s secretariat, which enabled independent recruitment of staff.

Ja’afaru also credited his achievements to Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the board, and encouraged the secretariat staff to fully support Jibrin in his new position.

In reply, Jibrin thanked President Tinubu for the appointment and assured the staff of his dedication to continuing the reforms initiated by his predecessor.
