NNPC Makes Fresh Announcement On Recruitment Exercise

On Monday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) announced the successful conclusion of its recruitment process.

The company stated that the exercise was conducted with the highest levels of fairness, transparency, and thoroughness.

Olufemi Soneye, the chief corporate communications officer of NNPC Ltd, shared in a statement that successful candidates will soon receive their appointment letters.

He expressed the company’s pleasure in completing the recruitment, which is considered one of the most transparent in the country.

The NNPC also thanked all applicants for their participation, encouraging those who were not selected to look forward to future opportunities with the company.

Soneye emphasized NNPC’s commitment to excellence and equal opportunity in its hiring processes as it aims to build a world-class energy company.

In July of last year, NNPC had announced it was hiring talented individuals for various roles across its departments.

This recruitment marks the first since the company transitioned into a limited liability entity.

The transformation of NNPC into the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited was officially unveiled by former President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2022, as part of the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

The change marked the shift from a state-run body to a commercial oil company limited by shares, with the legal transition taking effect on July 1, 2022.

The incorporation was completed in September 2021, following the signing of the PIA into law by Buhari.
