Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, has responded to allegations regarding the beads that her fiancé, singer 2baba, wears on his neck and wrist, which were claimed to have been spiritually fortified.
In February, 2baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, accused Osawaru of using the beads to exert a spiritual influence over her son. She pleaded with Osawaru to release 2baba, suggesting he was under her spell.
This plea followed the unexpected engagement of 2baba to Osawaru, a graduate of Igbinedion University in Edo State, after his separation from his wife, Annie, of 12 years.

In an interview with journalist Stella Korkus, Osawaru, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), explained the meaning and origin of the beads worn by 2baba.
She shared that the beads were gifts from her mother, given to her on her last birthday.
The beads, referred to as “EZENEKA,” meaning “river that never runs dry,” were described as traditional items.
Osawaru also mentioned that the pearl on 2baba’s neck was a gift from her late grandfather, a knight to the Queen of England, who had given it to her before passing away.
She clarified that there was no spiritual or diabolical significance to the beads, emphasizing that 2baba liked them and chose to wear them, as he had worn beads before.
Osawaru also addressed the online rumors surrounding her, stating that she doesn’t pay much attention to such allegations.
She explained that she is not active on social media, and as a result, she hasn’t seen the accusations. “I don’t care about them because I am who I am and a happy person,” she said.
Osawaru further shared that her social media accounts are managed by her team, and she has asked them not to inform her about any negative posts about her.
She expressed that her focus is on her career and her achievements.
