Ogboni Confraternity Declares Man Wanted For Failure To Replace Father

In a desperate attempt to initiate a young man into its ranks as a replacement for his late father, the Ogboni Confraternity in Oka Akoko has declared Daodu Stephen wanted, claiming he must fulfill his father’s pledge to the group.

As a result of this troubling development, the family is living in fear and has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and the government for urgent intervention to protect them from potential harm.

Speaking with journalists in Lokoja, Mr. Gbenga Daodu revealed that members of the Oka Akoko Ogboni cult are now pursuing his brother, Daodu O. Stephen, who has been missing for several years.

According to him, Stephen, originally from Oka Akoko in Ondo State, disappeared after their father’s death in 2018 and has been declared wanted by the group.

Gbenga urged the government to take decisive action against such dangerous cults, noting that since June 2020, his nephew had to abandon his livelihood and flee to an unknown location to stay safe.

“No one will be in his shoes that will not be afraid because his choice was hinged on the fact that he is the first son of the deceased father, who was my uncle. He does not want to have anything to do with the society but the society won’t have any of that. So, he had no choice than to flee the country for safety,” he stated.
