Fubara Speaks After Peace Meeting With Wike

After a reconciliation meeting hosted by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday night, suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara promised that all parties involved would do everything in their power to sustain peace in the state.

The meeting successfully brokered peace between Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, bringing together all the key figures in the political crisis.

Following the meeting, Fubara spoke with President Tinubu’s official videographer, Sunday Moses, about his commitment to maintaining peace in Rivers State.

“Peace has returned to Rivers State. We will do everything in our power to make sure we sustain it this time around,” Fubara said.

“It is important that this day has come. What we need in Rivers is peace. We shall do everything in our power to sustain peace in Rivers State.”

The lawmakers who attended the meeting in Abuja on Thursday alongside Fubara and Wike were led by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule.
