Security has been significantly increased across Benin City and other local government headquarters in Edo State following intelligence reports indicating a planned “7/7” anniversary celebration by the Black Axe confraternity.
The deployment of security personnel to known hot spots and critical areas throughout the state aims to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
According to Edo Police spokesman, Moses Yamu, this proactive measure comes after the Command received intelligence that certain cult groups intended to cause mayhem on July 7th.
