Tinubu Reacts To Death Of Former Plateau Military Governor Mana

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his grief over the passing of a former military administrator of Plateau State and a one-time senator, Colonel Mohammed Mana (retd.).

Mana, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who represented Adamawa North in the Senate from 2007 to 2011, died on Saturday morning in Abuja.

Until his death, he served as the chairman of the APC‘s Reconciliation Committee in Adamawa State.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the late lawmaker as “a distinguished patriot and officer gentleman who gave much to his fatherland in and out of uniform.”

The statement added, “The President lauds Mana’s commitments to the common good and a better society, saying his counsel and leadership would be sorely missed.”

President Tinubu also extended his condolences to the people and government of Adamawa State and to the members of the APC family who “benefited from Senator Mana’s wisdom.”

The statement concluded by noting that “Senator Mana was chairman of the party’s Reconciliation Committee until his death.”
