I’m Under Attack, Some People Are Plotting To Unseat Me – NNPCL GCEO, Ojulari

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has expressed concern for his safety and that of his management team, alleging they are facing serious threats.

Ojulari stated that the threats are a result of his efforts to reform the oil and gas sector, a mandate given to him by President Bola Tinubu.

According to Ojulari, these reforms have made him the target of “powerful elements” who are “plotting to remove him from the seat.”

Ojulari made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN).

He assured the delegation that despite the threats, he is “determined to ensure that the refineries work effectively” and that efforts are ongoing to revive them to “operate in full capacity.”

He also mentioned that the company is considering the “NLNG module” as a model for this revival.

He said: “I’m not hiding to anybody. I’m not a politician. I will have to learn a bit more about politics, but it’s a development plan for me, right? And I’m ready to learn.”
