Ahmad wrote:“In just a matter of days, the Governor of Taraba State and another Governor from the North West will officially join our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

As of June 2025, at least two incumbent governors had already decamped to the APC: Pastor Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom State) and Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State).

The Governor of Enugu, Peter Mbah, is also heavily rumoured to be the next to “jump ship.”
