President Bola Tinubu has extended his warm congratulations to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, following his prestigious appointment to the Royal Victorian Order by His Majesty King Charles III.
The British monarch appointed Edun as a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO). This high honor serves as a formal recognition of the Minister’s extensive commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global initiative focused on youth development.
The program is designed to help young people across the globe—including thousands in Nigeria—cultivate essential leadership skills and character.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the honor, noting that it reflects the values of his own administration.
“President Tinubu welcomed the exceptional honour bestowed on the Minister, a pivotal member of his cabinet, and acknowledged that the recognition aligned with the priority his administration places on youth empowerment, opportunity, and national renewal,” the statement read.
The President further lauded Edun’s “industry and dedication,” using the occasion to reiterate his government’s resolve to prepare Nigerian youths for future leadership roles.
