Benjamin Hundeyin Removed As Police Spokesperson, Replacement Appointed, New Media Unit Created

In a significant restructuring at the police headquarters in Abuja, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Benjamin Hundeyin has been removed from his position as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).

Sources confirmed the move to PREMIUM TIMES, noting that he has been replaced by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Anthony Okon Placid.

While an official public announcement is still pending, insiders also revealed the establishment of a brand-new department within the force.

This “New Media Office” has been created to modernize the police’s communication strategy and will be led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ali Giwa.

A formal statement detailing these leadership changes and the mandate of the newly formed office is expected to be released by the police high command shortly.
