The United States and Israel conducted overnight airstrikes targeting five oil facilities in and around Tehran, resulting in the deaths of four individuals.
Keramat Veyskarami, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, confirmed the details to state television on Sunday, noting that the casualties included two oil tanker drivers.
According to the official report, the strikes hit specific infrastructure within the capital and the neighboring Alborz province.

Veyskarami stated:“Last night, four oil depots and a petroleum products transport centre in Tehran and the Alborz were attacked by enemy aircraft. Four of our personnel, including two oil tanker drivers, were killed in the incident.”
While he acknowledged that the facilities “were damaged,” he assured the public that the resulting “fire was brought under control” and emphasized that Iran maintains “sufficient gasoline reserves” despite the destruction.
The aftermath of the bombardment was visible across the capital as morning broke, with a dark haze of smoke hanging over the city and residents reporting a persistent smell of burning in the air.
This latest escalation is part of a broader conflict that ignited on February 28, when US and Israeli strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Since that pivotal event, the region has been engulfed in war, with Iran launching retaliatory drone and missile attacks against Israeli territory and American interests throughout the Middle East.
