This was said to have happened after she gave birth.
It was said that the woman was still bleeding and in need or urgent care when the assault from the doctor happened.

The incident was said to have happened at Kinkole General Reference Hospital in Kinshasa, DRC.
It was gathered that the woman had tears from delivery and needed suturing to stop a haemorrhage, but instead of proper care and pain management, she was met with violence.
