Following a closed-door meeting, the committee, represented by Hassan Soweto, Ayoyinka Oni, and Oloye Adeniji, has issued a statement declaring the three days of mourning. This period will commence on Wednesday, August 7, and conclude on Friday, August 9, 2024, with a public symposium and candlelight procession.
The committee is calling on all Nigerians and supportive youth to individually observe this period of mourning. This may include wearing black clothing, posting movement graphics on social media, and engaging in acts of solidarity to honor the fallen heroes fighting against hunger and hardship.
