Kano Rep Member, Mohammed Hassan, Dies At 62

Hon. Barrister Mohammed Hassan, the representative for the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, has died.

The legislator, known for his work as a legal expert and a dedicated community figure, passed away on Friday at an Abuja hospital following a period of illness.

His death was officially confirmed by Muhammed Yaro Daba, Chairman of the lawmaker’s Media Promoters. Daba announced that the funeral service is scheduled to take place at the late representative’s Abuja home this Saturday at 2:00 pm.

Paying tribute to his late boss, the aide characterized the lawmaker as “a leader worthy of emulation” and offered prayers for divine mercy.

He further petitioned for the deceased to be granted “Jannatul Firdausi” while praying that his family finds the “fortitude to bear the loss.”

Hassan’s political journey was notable for his 2023 election victory under the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) and his recent move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

His final public outing was reportedly a meeting held at the residence of Rabiu Kwankwaso in Abuja. He leaves behind three wives and 18 children.
