Three teenage girls, Trisha (17), Ratnakumari (16), and Pavitra (16) drowned at Mulagummi Waterfalls in the Anantagiri hills near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
It all began with five friends going out for a fun day, all laughing, playing in the water, snapping selfies like teens do.
Not realising the rocks were slippery with unpredictable current.
Unfortunately none of them could swim well and in seconds, three lives were gone.
A fourth girl was pulled out alive by brave locals.
This busy spot where the tragedy happened has no barriers, no lifeguards.
The video drew reactions on social media.
