During a frank interview on Channels TV’s Hard Copy, Kenneth Okonkwo shared his dissatisfaction with Peter Obi’s lack of a “fight ferociously” approach regarding his 2023 mandate.
Okonkwo maintained that although he is still a strong supporter of a Southeast presidency, he believes leadership demands a degree of “sacrifice and toughness” that was not present following the elections.

“Peter Obi didn’t do his own part… I wanted him to fight ferociously for his mandate. A lot of people died. A lot of people were beaten.
What have you to be sacrificed? You’re not willing to sacrifice anything,” Okonkwo stated, further remarking that “politics is not for boys; it’s for men.”
