The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) has officially announced the transition of its Spiritual Father and Head, His Most Eminence, Emmanuel Alogbo, who passed away at the age of 93.
In an official press statement released on Thursday by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, it was disclosed that the venerable cleric died peacefully at his private residence in Lagos around 2:10 a.m., surrounded by his immediate family and domestic staff.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.
Describing the late prophet as a dedicated shepherd whose life was entirely consecrated to God and humanity, the church leadership revealed that daily prayer sessions will hold for seven days starting at 5:00 p.m. at his residence, located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos State.
The statement added that comprehensive details regarding his funeral rites and burial arrangements will be communicated to the public at a later date, while urging church members nationwide and in the diaspora to remain steadfast in faith.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the Secretary-General added.
As the leader of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide—one of Nigeria’s most prominent indigenous Christian denominations—Prophet Alogbo was widely revered as one of the nation’s longest-serving spiritual leaders.
His tenure spearheaded massive evangelism, spiritual expansion, and structural development for the church both in Nigeria and across international branches, marking his passing as the end of a remarkable era.
