The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has successfully delivered his specific polling unit to the party’s flagbearer, Bola Oyebamiji, in the ongoing Osun State governorship race.

At Polling Unit 003, located in Alagba, Osogbo—where Basiru cast his vote—Oyebamiji gathered 177 votes, outperforming the Accord Party candidate and incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, who finished with 60 votes.

Meanwhile, Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) secured three votes, while candidates representing the Action Alliance (AA), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) picked up one vote each.

Prior to the counting, Basiru and his wife, Abibat, had successfully completed their civic duty by casting their ballots at the location.

Following the voting process, the APC chieftain lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the prompt distribution of personnel and voting materials across the state.

He likewise commended the electorate for coming out en masse, noting that the strong turnout highlights a deep dedication to democratic principles.

Basiru expressed satisfaction with security operatives for ensuring a calm and structured environment across the polling centers.
