Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has thrown his weight behind the 2027 House of Representatives bid of human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Davido declared his support via an Instagram story on Tuesday, describing Olajengbesi as My other project
and labeling his candidacy a 100% winning ticket.
Olajengbesi served as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State and worked as campaign spokesman for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election, which the governor won.
Following the poll, Davido also posted on X to express appreciation to Olajengbesi for his contributions toward the campaign’s success.
Olajengbesi is vying to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the 2027 general elections under the Accord Party platform.
If victorious in 2027, Olajengbesi would unseat incumbent lawmaker Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has held the federal constituency seat in the Green Chamber for 24 years.
