The Super Eagles suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday during their second Group L match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Bissau.
The loss marks the first setback for head coach Eric Chelle since assuming leadership of the Nigerian national team.
Franculino Dju broke the deadlock for Guinea-Bissau in the 15th minute, curling a precise shot past Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali into the far corner.

The victory moves Guinea-Bissau to six points from two games, following their previous 2-0 win over Tanzania.
Nigeria remains on three points after opening their campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory against Madagascar.
The Super Eagles now face an urgent task to rebuild momentum as the AFCON qualification process progresses.
