Opening up about his own health struggles, Edochie expressed optimism about his well-being despite his physical constraints.

“Sitting down here, I’m not very well myself. Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself,” he said.

“Sometimes I get up, and parts of my body are swollen. After some time, it goes down again. Like my hand is swollen now,” he added.

The veteran actor also shared his reflections on aging and independence, stating that he routinely prays to avoid becoming a burden to his family and caregivers.

“I just keep asking God, ‘You are the author of life. Whenever you feel it’s time for me to go, just take me, don’t let me bother the people who are around me. Just take me,’” he stated.

Edochie’s heartfelt remarks came as he offered words of comfort to Armah, who has been managing a chronic health condition for nearly 11 years.

“It is my belief that you will recover one day,” he told his Ghanaian colleague.

According to reports from Ghana Web, Armah’s wife, Stella Amina Armah, explained that her husband’s health complications originated while he was working in the United States.

She noted that he suffered from undetected hypertension alongside elevated cholesterol levels.

She further disclosed that the Ghanaian actor is presently undergoing regular physiotherapy sessions and daily body massages as part of his rehabilitation.

The encounter visibly moved Edochie, who expressed deep concern over the condition of his long-time friend and industry peer.
