Labour Party Secures Highest Votes Without Candidate In Bauchi Council Election 

In the Bogoro councillorship election held in Lusa B Ward of Bogoro Local Government Area, the Labour Party in Bauchi State received the highest number of votes, despite not having a candidate running for the position.

As a result, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) declared Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came in second, as the winner and newly elected councillor for Lusa B Ward.

At the collation center in Bogoro, returning officer Daniel Gambo announced that the Labour Party, which did not field a candidate, received 2,200 votes, while PDP’s Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf followed closely with 2,168 votes.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mbam Masoyi, finished third in the election with 275 votes.
