The Ogun State Government has declared Tuesday, August 20, a public holiday to celebrate this year’s Isese Day, reflecting the Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s dedication to religious inclusivity.
A statement from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, noted that the work-free day will enable traditional worshippers across the state to observe their special day.

The statement also highlighted that Ogun State continues to be a model of religious cohesion and harmony, even amid its diversity.
It urged traditional worshippers in the state to celebrate modestly and respect the rights of other religions during the festivities to maintain Ogun State’s tradition of religious tolerance.
The statement also encouraged adherents to use the special occasion to pray for peace and economic progress in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole, noting that prayers play a crucial role in the success of any nation.
